A few days ago, we told you about the Australian team that was stuck high up on “riders on the storm” on the central tower. Well, we got some good news from them: they are back on the ground and they made it to the top! You’ll find more news from them on their blog.
They also [...]

Here is what has kept our mind busy for the last few days. An endless dihedral of about 1200 meters slicing the east face of the Central Tower of Torres Del Paine. The South African route was the first on the gigantic east face of the central tower and it was put up in 1974 [...]

The weather has been very bad but we’ve been able to not only exist but excel in our new environment. Luckily we have a palatial bivi cave, in which the five of us can take shelter when the meteorological bombardments rain down around us. We live in relative comfort. Base camp activities include: cave clearing, [...]

We heard that there were 2 Australians climbing the route Riders In The Storm. We climbed Riders In The Storm 3 years ago, and the Aussies asked us for some info about the route a few months ago via e-mail. Hopefully the info we gave them was/is useful for them. They’ve been on the wall [...]

It still feels good to get spanked! [...]

The weather forecast for the next few days looks bad… Rain and lots of wind. So we are going to be carrying loads up to Campo Belga Base Camp for the next 2-3 days.

Nico & Sean took the plane yesterday (08/01/2008) and are on their way to the big walls of Torres Del Paine.
They know the place since they free climbed ”Rider on the storm” two years ago with Olivier Favresse & Mike Lecomte. As usual, the target is to find another trad line to free…
I bet they’ll find what [...]

For those who don’t know us very well: that wasn’t us on the pictures in the last post. We are terrible surfers, so there would have been no point in showing real pictures of us surfing.
We’re back in Europe for the moment and will not be updating our blog until Januari… another Patagonia adventure….
Climb on!
